This desk drop box was designed for a communications agency aiming to win new business in the rail industry. Built around the theme of relaxation, the message was that working with the agency would be an enjoyable hassle-free experience, much like the journeys rail companies aspire to for their passengers.
Inside the box was a newspaper, designed as a pastiche of The Times that was full of stories about the agency, plus a coffee sachet, chocolate muffin and a set of ‘tickets’ with contact details. The pack also contained an iPod shuffle that contained a specially-recorded podcast.
The desk drop helped deliver more than £250,000 worth of new business to the agency and won a sales promotion award.
With just the single word ‘relax’ on the lid, the box was designed to intrigue recipients and stand out from all the other marketing material they would be sent.
