Shepherds Brand Development
When a new high-end barber shop opened in Birmingham, the business needed a strong brand to match its aspirations.

The challenge was to develop the client’s existing logo and brand guidelines to reflect the business’s new ambitions. From this a full suite of marketing materials would then be created.

The creative process began with mood boards of imagery based on the client’s vision and personal interests. These then informed a new, more playful direction for the brand, and provided the basis for wall art in the salon.

To attract potential customers walking past the salon, the client needed attention-grabbing window decals that would reflect the personality and messages of the brand. The chosen concept was the ‘perfect shave’, executed in a fun, illustrative visual style that would inspire future decals.

With Christmas coming up, the client requested a festive-themed advert for the salon window. Using the same illustrative style as the earlier decals, a ‘Santa’s Workshop’ concept was developed, with the elves preparing Shepherds products in time for Christmas. A sheep also featured in a whimsical reference to the salon’s name.

A complete set of marketing collateral was developed too, including everything from business and loyalty cards to gift vouchers and shaving brushes.
