As well as echoing the visual style of the printed magazine, the app had to command users’ attention and guide them effortlessly through the site in a simple, intuitive way.
Each page of the app required careful thought, both in terms of its functionality and making best use of the interactive elements available.
Scrolling copy, video and sound hotspots all featured in the design. Using various interactive elements like these meant a degree of creative freedom that helped bring the content to life.
The app features image carousels. When tapped, the page flips to reveal information about what is in each of the pictures.
When tapped, the hotspots reveal a pop-up page with further interactive content in the form of image sliders.
